ABOUT
Part Cabaret, Part Chat Show – totally entertaining!
Sunday in the Apartment started in November, 2010 as host and producer Nick Hardcastle introduced some of Australia’s most talented established and emerging artists in London for an intimate afternoon’s entertainment with a twist! SITA was then held quarterly in the delightfully classy and cosy ‘Apartment’ in Kettners, Soho, London until 2013 before moving to it’s new home, St James Studio at the St James Theatre, Palace Rd London. Sunday in the Apartment retained it’s name as a nod to its heritage and has continued quarterly since relocating to its exciting new venue.
A collaboration with Australian Business UK and The Australia Day Foundation, the event has served over the years as a platform for Australian talent abroad to launch and nurture their careers and provide a netwrok within the expatriate business, Government and arts communities as well as sharing the Australian culture and spirit with our British friends and colleagues.
Artists showcased at SITA and it’s Australia Day special AUSDAY in the Apartment have included talent from across television, film, theatre, musical theatre, literature and fashion such as megastar housewife Dame Edna, Tim Minchin, Human Nature, Ray Meagher (Alf Stewart from Home and Away), Megan Washington, Caroline O’Connor, Tania Doko, Lachlan Chapman (The Overtones) Genevieve Lemon (Billy Elliott), Casey Donovan (Australian Idol / The Sapphires), Belle Roscoe, The Graveltones, Mig Ayesa, Michael Falzon, Vera Black, Amelia Cormack and Lucinda Shaw (Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical), Iron Bark Productions, Nina Ferro, Lily Dior, James Millar and many more. Our regular contributors have included the brilliant Daniel Fletcher (Rock of Ages), the remarkable John Rutledge on piano (Musical Director, Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical), Natalie K Marsland – choreographer.
